Well, i just need to clean up the mess and make more changes in there but i'll take time to build for now, been missing it a lot!

Entering the shop, first wall to the left, my former center bench is now against the wall instead of the drum sander

turning to the right, the second wall where my second bench is and with the drum sander on wheels

what is now my center bench with a downdraft table built in

My bandsaw and go bar deck both on wheels

A bit of improvement has to be made here, i might demolish this and build something more accessible with drawers and shelves sometimes after Christmas!

That's what i've been up to all this time, more pics to come as i make more advancements

Thanks for tuning in!

Wow, Serge, you've been a busy bear. I don't think you could put much more in your shop. I'd be interested in hearing how well that down draft table works for you. Did you have plans for it or do it all from your head?

Thanks for the kind words Ron and Hesh!

Ron, you're right, the shop is full but i still have a lot of junk to get rid of, the state of it now is messy but it varies a lot during the course of a couple of hours only, i just didn't feel like cleaning up tonight though!

About the downdraft table, it was all built as i went with what junk i had at hand, i'll post a better pic of the thing tomorrow night to give you and Hesh more perspective although i think that the holes in the top plate are not big enough to help suck the dust in!

Hesh, as you well described, i love the fact that i can push every single heeavy power tool around even with just one hand(i'm not that strong, the painted cement helps a great deal! ) that way, the go bar deck stays in the corner of the shop between builds while the bandsaw stays closer to the action!

Thanks fellas!

Looks productive if not neat. It looks like you have a good handle on the orgainzation. Rolling tools help a lot. Love to see where people work. Keep up the production!

Ah! The J200 reference! When you going to build a Jumbo?

How big is your shop exactly?

Billy, the J-200 will be sometime next year and it probably will be a modified version of it, the SJ that i'm building now is probably the last plan that i will use and respect in it's entirety, i plan on getting basic measurements and modify the shapes and make them my own after, i'd like to come up with shapes of my own design so that i can be more and more creative throughout the whole build!

Guys, my shop is ~ 11-12' x 23' but there is a complete wall with shelves that have the archives of the company i work for, in it,   so more or less 10' X 23' for me which is nothing to complain about in my book, just the fact that i have one is great! If i was to wish for something more, it definitely be a window and a lake view but that will have to wait a bit i guess!

Thanks

Serge

10x23 would sure be nice (230 sft). I could use an extra 45 sft in my shop.

Ahhhh, I love a good mess, but yours is still cleaner than mine bro.

It's good to get messy

Thanks Rod, you should see the smile on my face when i'm covered in sawdust, it's just as good as as seeing a kid full of mud!

The lee valley bag? well just strips of used sandpaper sheets!

Lookin' good there, Serge! It's great to see a shop space evolve. The more organized they get, it seems the easier it is to keep them neat, eh?

I'm only going to say this once, but I'm concerned for you when I see that you smoke. I did too for years and yearn for it sometimes in the shop, but quitting was the best thing I ever did, for myself, my friends, and family. If you want any commentary on quitting, my story, or anything, PM me. End of lecture.

Thanks Pat, you sure are right on both topics here and i'm working really hard to achieve both but let's say that the second one is a harder battle for now so yes, i'd sure appreciate your help on the second one so i can live like a free man! Thanks

Will PM you later today, gotta get back to work for now...

Cheers

Serge
